No, pour them directly on the CPU they are a coolant.

The above was a joke, I take no responsibility for the destruction of your CPU ;)

varius, nforce4 mobos with PCIe slots are shipping October 19. i think that maybe you should wait. also, the whole "paying the premium" thing isn't really a big deal. last i checked, the GeForce 6800GT, a 256mb AGP card, ran upwards of $400 USD, whereas the GeForce 6600GT, a 256mb PCIe card, was only $215 USD (ETA 10/19/04).

That's an important info. Saw a board on a mobo maker, but didn't have any dates. I might prefer to buy a new mobo and graphic card in 6 months with PCIe to buy less new components now ( ie : the graphic card). Usually too, these motherboards only have 2 regular PCI slots. It's a problem for me. Is there something I don't understand with the PCIe x1 slots (not the x16) ?

All that said, I might rething what to do now, with this new option.

Thanks for the dates. You got it on newegg ? Have to check that more closely...

Ok, I recently built my own pc. It worked perfectly until I added the floppy drive then the cd drive stopped working; the icon wouldn't show up in" my computer". so then I unplugged the floppy drive ide cable and the cd drive still doesn't work. anyone knows whats wrong and how to fix it?

This is kind of computer building;

?80 or a 2.4ghz pc with 256mb of ram from my current pc and the geforce 2mx 32mb from this one too?

Would AA run any good on it and if i got some more ram and if i got a better graphics card at christmas how long do you reckon it would it be good for running all the new games?

Also another good one is www.tigerdirect.ca if you live in canada.

I've ordered from them before. The delivery and payment went through very smooth. I should warn you that one OEM product I ordered didn't come with any drivers like it stated. They aren't available off the website either (only the updates) I just didn't bother complaining because i can find these things off the internet in no time.
Their prices aren't too bad either Cool

www.aria.co.uk for Britain

AND if you live in the UK buy PC gamer in the next 5 days before its off the shelves.

It has a kick [TOS Violation] guide to buying the parts for a good PC for ?477 and a step by step guide to building it. I used that site to find the bargain in my other thread.
