COD Black Ops is based upon a Special Forces Unit , a very small percentage of soldiers reach these lofty heights in the real world Cool

And there is the crux of the matter ( Something that the anti AA3 Brigade cannot seem to grasp ) AA3 is a recruiting tool for the US Army , that is why it just portrays the weaponry and setup of a REGULAR Army squad Cool

This is the level that all Soldiers start at and so it's the best veiwpoint of the Army to show to a potential recruit Cool

So Mr Surely , stop play Don Quixote and tilting at windmills and bring yourself kicking and screaming into the REAL WORLD Cheesy Grin

I think AA3 is a great game and I love the gameplay!

Sure, there's a lack of maps and the lag but hopefully it will all be fixed soon. Although I must admit that I'm growing a bit bored with the fact that these things never seem to happen.

any fps < AA2 < AA3 Wink

Yes, you have good current points. COD it's a ok game. Look at the team they have, the developers that are paid well to do what they do with unlimited resourses. IM sure the Devs for AA get something for what they do but IM not sure on that. With this being a FREE game what does it cost you? Sure if you're a clan memeber or leader and lease a server it cost you, but othr than that what's it cost you? Sure if you're a American citizen it cost you because TAX dollars go to it one way or another.
We all want no lag, no bugs, new maps, yada yada yada. It'll get there but if that doesn't comfort you in some way, click start/control panel/ Add/Remove, then uninstall America's Army3 then follow what's prompted on your screen to do and restart....

This is why we can't have socialism. The government does things way inferior than the private market. Believe me, I uninstalled Americas Army 3 a long time ago.

I like you.

And OP is pretty much spot on, I've been played CoD now instead of AA and even getting away from the recruitment aspect, it's a way better game. I'm an AA fan but if they just stopped giving in to bad players' demands the game would be a lot better.

I play Black Ops online quite often , it's good fun Cool

But , and it's a big but , it's just a frenetic run 'n' gun fest with no teamwork or tactics involved - All the players run around like headless chickens shooting everything that moves Confused

AA3 is far better in gameplay terms and Cod is inferior in many more ways - Pretty graphics don't make a game , addictive gameplay does Cool

So please just go away and stick to Cod if that's what you want , leave the sensible AA3 fans alone Cool

Black Ops is garbage when compared to AA3.
Fix the broken things on AA3 and we will have the best game of the world.

And there it is… “Fix the broken things on AA3 and we will have the best game of the world.”
Do you really believe that AA3 will be fixed?
Have there been any signs in the last 2 years that would lead you to believe that AA3 will be fixed?
Do you really believe the Devs will bring this game back to having many thousands of players on at any given time rather than the couple of hundred we have now?
Other then the small group in this forum who are still holding on to the hope that AA3 will be “fixed” there is no evidence that it ever will. Other then this small groups opinion the facts clearly state otherwise. I really hope they can “fix” AA3 and bring it back to its glory days. But as I said there has been nothing that would lead anyone to believe that this will happen. Maybe someday the Devs will prove me wrong.
I always get amused when they start saying how COD is “inferior” or "Call of Fail". And then I look at the player stats and have to laugh. Maybe someday the Devs will figure out how to get the graphics quality of COD with the game play of AA
A suggestion for the Devs: Create a new AA with the graphic quality equal to COD (if they can’t do it then hire someone who can) and bring over all the maps and features that are in AA2 and AA3.
And call it AA4. Now that would be a win win.

There's a lot of things I can't fix. I think that should neither have an effect on work performance, especially if you don't have the extent of experience enough and you as a "fan" are that critical of it.

I have the experience, just give me one chance.

AA3 is just about unrealistic as MW or Black Ops. AA3 urban combat resembles more a dance off with guns then actually a firefight that could be consider somewhat realistic.

The real problem with AA3 is the lack of attention and too greater shift from the AA2 winning game play. AA3 was release back in 2009 and we still have not see any map packs or any major balancing attempts on the gameplay. This project is in trouble and so far the only light is AA4 in a couple of year.

-cough- -cough-......AA 2.8.5 something isn't it? I don't know....never played aa2.... but point is. that is a whoppin 85 patches or so? AA3 is at 3.0.8.2 So you do the math. The game will be better. It will just be a few years before it is perfect. Would you rather be playing AA2 while the devs frantically spent the past 4-6 years code crunching so that AA3 would be perfect on release? If so....go play AA2 and I will make a post in a year or 2 when all the bugs and problems in AA3 are gone.
