I know they are unsupported but will anyone be as kind enough as to update them to at least 2.6? I know the guy who updated mac and linux was doing it alone but is there anyway someone could do it?
If anyone knows how to update the games to 2.6 and would teach me, or if I knew how, i would defenitly update the games. Is it really that difficult to change the game from 2.5 to 2.6?
Any info on how the person who updated these versions was able to do so, thanks nicecrew.

The guy who was doing the Mac/*nix ports was doing so through support of the AGP, it's not really a matter of just 'someone new' doing it as he was actually granted the access to do so more or less as I recall.

More than permission you would need source code, America's Army is not an open source game, you can't simply port it to another system without such things else someone would have done it long ago I imagine (as there are still many Mac/*nix players around, many of whom are likely developers in their own work).

As it stands right now there are no current nor future plans to port the current versions back to Mac and *nix, sorry.

Ok i see, any specific reason as to why they dont update it though? At least up to AA2.85 or lower.
Is there really that much of a change between the different version?

Yes, the person that made the alternate build stopped doing it.
Yes, normally took weeks of work to release the MAC and *nix builds
