When is a soldier actually 'deleted'?

Another user has had a soldier deleted in the game that I intended to use the same name, but it's not actually 'gone' yet. It doesn't show up in the soldier list of the login and when I use my login to try and create it, says it's in use. Can search it on the web based soldier search, and still shows active.

When will the soldier actually be purged, so I could use it?

Soldiers are not fully deleted by the player simply because it maintains the potential to have the soldier restored by the manager in the database.

If you want the soldier restored back to your account, simply request it.

Well, it's not my account to be restored from. It's deleted from login A, to be used in login B. However, when trying to create it at login B, it's still saying as used. What I would really need is for it to be purged entirely from login A, or restored to login B.

I don't think that you can transfer soldiers to another account, but one of the managers will assist you when possible.

Thanks.

Soldiers can only be restored to the account they were deleted from.

Hey Gangsta,

It's fine it can't be restored to another account, but can it be deleted entirely, so it can then be created new?

Do you know when the moment will be that you can? Smile Call it petty, but still after over a year, I'm anxious for the soldier name, and was getting so close!

I'd love to tell you but at the moment I really dont know.

I guess the issue is how long do you leave a Soldier deleted before it goes back in to the pool?

Soo, I don't suppose there's any answer to this question yet, about how long a soldier is left deleted? Been 7 months, curious about the ability to have the soldier name. Neutral

I think this has already been answered. if you read the responses, the accounts are indefinitely not deleted for now.

Hey Lilith, actually reading the posts, Gangsta didn't confirm they wouldn't be deleted (forgive my double negative). That's why I'm asking, if they have confirmed a time when it would be.

And yeah, have tried it since Qbert, but same result, says it's active.

I'll raise this back up the chain but nothing has been changed since my last look.
