 [ALPHA]:Looking for a Test Server for my Custom Map!

Hello there, i worked on a mission with a Stargate theme.
And now i think its ready for Aplha Testing
I did the work all by my own so every one is welcome to give me some advices if i still missed some important things / did some big mistakes.

hopefully somebody with a Server will do me a favour and helps me with testing.

G'day BadBlackSheep,

We've been running your map, it's good fun, maybe a little easy and some minor issues with the placement of objects. You could add a few bots or make an MP version also.

TY for ur feedback, like i said this is only aplha version, in first case i wanted to know what u do think about the OBJ's enough vs. to much , good placed vs. missplaced and so on.

I' m working on the Beta version now.

1. When its done i will post a new download link for the new version.
2. Yes there wil be more bots at the final release. (to much bots now only makes testing for me more complicatet) :-)
3. Much deco work has still to be done.
4. -----Door crouch problem solved!------
5. One room i used to use for Mesh "storing" i forgot to clean that before uploading my map, so dont care about that please.
6. -----Changed two OBJ's to random OBJ's, like snake plain.------
7. -----I added a few more weapon slots. (now 16 )-----------
8. more rooms, more ways, more decisional capabilities.
9.---- Floating deco problem solved!-----




Last but not least, if some one with good mapping / editing skills, knows something about elevators please let me know I'm not really happy with my solution, it works but it could be better, i allready read some tuts / thread, but i could not really do something with that.

Thanks for the update BadBlackSheep... the Beta changes sound good.

There are a few mappers about who should be able to help with the elevator.

More comments against your map at aaotts, http://www.aaotts.com/index.ph...;cid=88

They are similar comments but I think your next version will address them, is more slots on the list?

yep allready done that, forgot to tell u that, i hope 16 weapon slots, are enough.

some one wrote something about frustrating ladders, what problem did u / he had?
would be great if u could answer here.
and once again there will be definetly more bots at the end, but if i add them now it only makes testing for me more complicated, i think u all understand that.
and now excuse me i have some good mapping to do :-p

What's your current solution? Trigger and mover systems in AA are almost always never elegant :winkj:

There was this thread (http://forum.americasarmy.com/...=291590) that turned out pretty nicely, although you probably already read that.

The gist of simple elevators (only 2 floors - more was what being dealt with in the above thread) is that you assign an elevator mover 2 keys, one in the starting position and on the second floor and a trigger on each floor.

That can then be set up to either assign the elevator on a trigger to go to the second floor and then reset to the bottom or to go to the opposite floor. Doors can simply be set up with a series of relay triggers.

i named it like the first release, so u can simply replace the old map.

sure u can mirror it but maybe u want to wait for final release?
