Oh god yes! I hate that every game is just copying off of each other with dumb ideas like expanding croshairs.

Remember when server admins didn't kick you and ban you just because you've taken the time to get really good at the game, or in particular, one specific map that you've played hundreds of hours on?

Me neither.

Every time I come back to this game, I last about as long as it take to get back in the 'groove' and then the banning starts.

Maybe I'll give 4.0 a chance if they remove the option for any idiot to decide who's cheating. Until then, enjoy.

Oh so true. Farm Raid and Mountain Ambush were my favorites and I always played with the same guys, even before I got into a clan (there were enough of us we could fill 4 servers easy). We would all go to one spot on a map and just "chat" for the 10 minutes of the round. I would have loved to seen the look on any new player coming on the server and asking us what we were doing. Heck we even put sentries out to keep guys from trying to frag us...LOL

We had weapon changing rounds where only one weapon is used by everyone, oh the laughs when launchers were the only choice.

Now that's community. AND none of those guys play AA3. The game has lost something.

Or when the AA site was just yellow font on a plain black background (like a blog almost)?
The huge hype about being able to finally drive the Stryker in Overmatch?
When we actually had sniper rifles?
The Barrett.
2d sights.
The race between foufoulala and that other guy to be the first to 100 honor? (all they played was fls iirc)
When there was no intro music?
Hand signals? (not that anyone used them but still)
Rucksacks!

Ohh, good times...

Remember when....

...we actually crawled on our bellies in combat?

I don't remember exactly when this photo was taken. Note on the back is smudged, I guess from eating dirt so much.

Last time I did that, it was a non-combat role as a photojournalist. Good times.

I remember all of that and more. Damn not alot of guys here with 2002 as a join date...Just fellow former Beta testers.

I haven't played since I left Beta. Sounds like things have really changed. Just DL'd AA3, guess I'll have to take a look for myself
