ASSAULT

1. SITUATION: A special forces reconnaissance and surveillance (R and S) team in Unconventional Warfare Area of Operations (UWAO) PICKLE has been exposed while observing terrorist activities in an abandoned rural area, vicinity EP391075. All team members except for one escaped, and he is presumed being held by the enemy as a prisoner of war (POW). In addition, the R and S team discovered that the enemy is holding plans for a major terror attack to be executed in a couple weeks. A distraction staged at 2300 yesterday let the POW escape, but contact was not made.

2. MISSION: Commencing 17 0700 AUG 06, ODA 628 and local resistance forces will rendezvous with the POW as well as secure the plans for the terrorist attack. The location of the POW is not known, so take care when clearing areas.

3. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

A. ENEMY FORCES: Enemy forces as well as foreign advisors are believed to be well armed and dug in and on high alert after the exposure of the R and S team.

B. FRIENDLY FORCES: Special Forces (Airborne) Split ODA 628 and Resistance Fire Team with advanced marksman and automatic weapons support. It is unknown if the POW is still armed or not.

C. TERRAIN: Wrecked buildings surround a dry riverbed with several bridges spanning it. Infiltration will be through humvees parked next to a gas station; rendezvous will take place in the general area.

D. ROE: Rules of Engagement published 12MAY05 are in effect. Use necessary force against positively identified enemy combatants only. Minimize damage to local infrastructure. Be advised civilian refugees may be present in contested area.


DEFENSE

1. SITUATION: While dug in at an abandoned rural area, Unconventional Warfare Area of Operations (UWAO) PICKLE, vicinity EP391075, an enemy reconnaissance unit was discovered and engaged. It is unknown how many enemy soldiers have escaped, but one enemy soldier believed to be a foreign advisor was captured and is now being held as a prisoner of war (POW). In addition, it is also believed that enemy forces are now aware of an major operation to begin in several weeks to flush out terrorists in the surrounding areas. Following an air strike at 2300 yesterday, the POW escaped, but is believed to be in the general vicinity.

2. MISSION: ODA 628 and Resistance forces will recapture or eliminate the POW. In addition, the plans for the operation are to be defended, as a security breach of this magnitude will force the operation to be aborted.

3. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

A. ENEMY FORCES: It is assumed that local terrorist forces as well as enemy foregin advisors will return in full force with advanced marksman and automatic weapons support.

B. FRIENDLY FORCES: Special Forces (Airborne) Split ODA 628 and Resistance Fire Team with advanced marksman and automatic weapons support.

C. TERRAIN: Wrecked buildings surround a dry riverbed with several bridges spanning it.

Cool. Looks the exact same as Overgrown on COD4. One of the best maps too.

IMO a bit cramped for co-op... free range bots put up a better fight. Wink
