I have no complains about the forum.
It's layout is great and no bugs for me.
Threads get speedy reply.
I'd might suggest to make a armystyle backround to the forums just as in AAOTracker portal.

http://www.americasarmy.com/me...per.php

When I refresh this page, the icons for the 3.0 weapons change. Is it just me? Like sometimes there will be two AR's, and other times no AR's but two M4A1's.
Sometimes the M9 is at the top, and others at the bottom.
What's going on?

It's random bits, but those thumbnails are a part of several photos of the weapons, so it's not just you.

there are 11 wallpapers total, but not all 11 of them can fit on the page so they randomly cycle through about 5 each refresh. you can open one url of a wallpaper IE:(http://www.americasarmy.com/images/media/wallpapers/dev1_1024.jpg) and replace the bolded number in the url manually each time until you reach 11 to see them all.

Oh I see. I never knew there were 11, and the differences were so small I guess I never noticed them.

There were 11, it was just too trivial a fact to mention.

It would be nice if there was a box or icon of some sort that told you how many people are online. One for the overall forums, then for each one General Discussion, R&R, etc.

Is it possible to have the writing settings even when using the "quick reply window" ?
I mean, there is a good unused space on both sides of that window, and IMO it wouldn't be bad to add some small buttons on left or right side... Confused

I agree. Even though I've memorized the most common ones it would still be nice to have them there for a quick reply.

One of the biggest things I don't like with the forum is when I click 'show posts since last visit' and it gives me a list of every single post posted since my last visit, page after page after page of them Evil or Very Mad . It would be much easier for me to find something relevent if I could scan through a summary of the thread subjects that had new posts rather than each individual post Crying or Very Sad ... please someone tell me there is a setting somewhere I can click to change this tool.

Tomcat[SAS], I don't understand what you're asking for. Neutral
Instead of using "show new posts since my last visit", you can check the sections where the topic you're interested in are located: you'll see at once which ones have new replies and which not due to the icon on the left.

I suppose if I could have my ideal scenario, I'd like to get to any new posts in any thread in any forum board in 2 or a max 3 clicks.

The way I described above works greatly when your posts/topics are mainly located in one or two sections, otherwise you'll need more that a couple of clicks...

This page http://i4.photobucket.com/albu...ror.jpg is what occurs when I navigate to it. I have not encountered this visual format before while browsing AAweb.
