What is a Scrimmage -
A scrimmage or (scrims) as they are commonly referred to are friendly practice matches between two teams. Rules and the terms of scrimmages are usually defined when agreeing to accept scrims with another team.

What is a Pick up Game (PUGs)?
Pick up games are less structured then scrims. If your teammates aren't around to have a scrim or you're not on a team you can join an IRC channel and get a game going. PUGs formats are basically the same as a scrimmage format.

Where to find scrimmages and pick-up games -
You have two immediate options to finding scrims you can either post in this forum section or log onto AAIRC and join #AA-scrim channel to find a scimmage using IRC chat for live and immediate interaction with other players.

Connecting via in-game
1. AA browser
2. Select the "chat" tab
3. Next to the server box, click on "connect"
4.Click once in the Channel box and type "#aa-scrim"

True. But if we let everybody know those channels exist. They might join the channels. And maybe more pugs will be coming. Very Happy

another great way to connect to IRC is to use mibbit. thats a webbased irc client.

i have installed it at www.aascrim.eu so you can try it out. just type in your desired username then connect. really easy.
