Depends on which Call of Duty you're talking about. America's Army uses dedicated servers. There is none of the peer-to-peer console-like garbage that the latest CoD uses.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the status of the Tier 2-3 MOS's or why they still have not been implemented?

I'm sure this is the wrong place to ask, so please move this if I asked a REALLY dumb question. How is the weapon system? I mean, is it more RPG-based like the newer CoD games? Meaning, can you switch between a large variety of weapons for different situations? Can you use non-military issue guns?

Not really. It's a U.S. Army game, so to be authentic, it will only be Army-issued equipment. There's no MP5s or knives at this point. When you're plying the matches, you can only use whatever you get in whichever class/position you choose. If you run out of ammo and need another weapon, pray that someone dropped one when they got killed.
